All titles should be possible to attain the maximum title, but they aren't.

I'm sick of chasing stupid freakin' carrots. Let us have the max and then they can increase the max rank to 10 if they actually have anything to add.........which they usually don't.

As a title it is useless, but as a fact to prove the "if it's broken, Anet will fix it quickly"-people wrong it is priceless.

NF is my favorite campaign till now, but it was released incomplete and needs serious feature updates like Prophecies got during the summer'05.

anyway back on topic: YES, of course, if the maxed title gets some sort of cool effect, otherwise im happy with Castellan, it looks cool, and besides, Puuba is next to be Spearmarshal

I agree with letting us max it... a solution to this shouldn't be long to think of, and since it's ANet I can assume it will be one of two ways to max it :

1) DoA
2) Hard mode missions in Elona giving some kind of reward in sunspear points when you complete them (probably just enough so you need to do all the missions to max it)

And even if they say it will be an accomplishment, a lot of people just undead farmed them a long time ago, so it won't be anything special

(Please take note I thought about 1 minute to come up with this... if ANet needs months to do this there is a serious problem)... the only redemption they can offer is if it's associated with hard mode since they need to create that mode I guess.

maybe they decided to tie it to the "hard mode" that they are aparently working on, that u can get more sunspear points in elonian hard mode missions.

You want something in the game not to be fixed, just to annoy more players in the game. That is some quality logic right there.

I honestly don't really give a toss... They're going to sort it sooner or later... but until then, the difference between rank 8 and rank 9 is just a matter of a pretty title and a very slight difference to one signet. I have other titles to be getting on with gaining.

If I go to Lowe’s...on a MONDAY.(hardware store for all you Timmy’s) and I need a part ordered and the guy says it'll be in, in a couple days....I say aight see ya FRIDAY.....if that same guy said the part would be in.......in the NEAR FUTURE......that would be 6-8 months for me, and I sure wouldn’t jump the gun 2 months down the road and go back to the store and choke the life out of him, give it time......

Since there should only be one, then it should be there for aethestics and the ranks *below* max should be the "new" maximum.

This really cracks me up. If you needed a part at a hardware store, and they didn't have it, and would have it in the near future, you would assume that means 6-8 months and quietly go home and wait?
What would you tell your wife, when she asks you why you haven't fixed the fence/dishwasher/lightfixture - that they didn't have the part and you're going to check back with them in 6-8 months?

I notice this trend somewhat in certain folks, when it pertains to Gaile - it seems like you have a crush on her or something, and want to be a big suck up to impress her.

In the case of the Sunspear title track, it was broken on day one, and I think on purpose. It was much easier to ramp up to at least Castellian, and if the bounties continued, it would have been relatively easy to max it, IMO. Easier than any of the other titles I've gotten. So they made it impossible, and when they found out some creative folks found a work around, they responded like lightening to shut that down. Would that they similarly responded like lightening to provide a legitimate path forward on it.

I am one of those that would think it's worthwhile to register our discontent with Anet, thru Gaile, on this issue. It makes it tougher when sprinked in with our legitimate grips, we've got folks like you who call it "beating up of Gaile", and aver that they'd willingly wait 6-8 months in the dark for something they need or want. Most of us would go to Home Depot and get it done - how many 6-8 month blocks do you think you have in this life?

Your position is somewhat ridiculous, and in terms and trying to get action out of Anet to fix this, very counter-productive.

And I know it's a relatively minor thing, but so is the fix. And it's the right thing to do. Anet does have a reputation of taking things away from players. If they want to tie up some things with the new hard mode nobody asked for, let them make up some new rewards and do so. But this one should have come with the box I bought back in November. Thanks.
